Phosphene Artwork
When John
was a member of Electroscope, he designed most of the sleeves for the group's
releases. As Phosphene is a new sound, John felt that it was time for a new
direction in cover art too. He approached Miriam Ellen to paint a series of
images based on The Phosphene Sound.
Miriam is an artist who specializes in representing sensations in a visual form. John first saw a photo of a large painting by Miriam, inspired by the sensation of eating olives stuffed with garlic!
From this single photo, he knew instantly that Miriam's work would go perfectly with his album.
